The Doctor Who Christmas Special has been a BBC Christmas tradition since 2005 when the show was first re-instated back onto our TV screens after a lengthy hiatus. However, the first ever Doctor Who Christmas Special titled “The Feast Of Steven” appeared on our TV screens back on Christmas Day in 1965.

This year the episode is titled “The Return Of Doctor Mysterio”. Rematerialising in modern day New York, The Doctor is again called upon to save the world from an alien threat. There will be appearances from Matt Lucas (Little Britain) and Charity Wakefield (The Player). Peter Capaldi reprises his role as Doctor Who, and there are rumors that the special will include a well-known superhero. This show is set to be a must watch for all the family.

We’re Going On A Bear Hunt

The story makers who created “The Snowman” which avid viewers of Christmas TV may remember featured the hit song “Walking In The Air” by Aled Jones, are back with an all new adventure titled “We’re Going On A Bear Hunt”. Featuring voiceovers from Mark Williams, Olivia Colman and Pam Ferris, the visual of the story is based on the bedtime book by Michael Rosen. It follows the story of a family who go in search of a bear, but instead discover a secret in the other side of a dark forest.
